EXPAND’S  SHARP AWARDS 2023

In 2023, EXPAND Construction Pte Ltd achieved & received 6 SHARP Awards for 6 of our Projects during WSH Awards 2023 ceremony. The evening’s prestigious event commenced with an opening address by Mr Zaqy Mohamad (Senior Minister of State for Manpower) & WSH Council’s Chairman, Mr Abu Bakar Mohd Nor, who congratulated all 246 award recipients for their commitment to creating safe and healthy workplaces.

We are proud to witness EXPAND emerging as one of the BEST among the companies, as we achieved the most SHARP Awards among the Construction Sector. EXPAND implemented sound WSH management systems in strengthening our projects with robust HSE beliefs & principles.

EXPAND strongly believe that “No Work is more Urgent or Important than Working Safely”.

Our Success of achieving 6 SHARP Award is also contributed by our strong application of the following 3R SAFETY PRINCIPLES:-

In addition, EXPAND has an effective framework towards HSE and is prominently advocated & practiced from our Founder/ Chairman/ MD of the Company, Mr Von Lee to the ground level of every staff. The Framework are :

1)Active Management:

• Set Safety Pre-requisite for subcontractors, at least BizSafe Level Star.
• Top management & site team conduct regular joint site inspections.
• Top management emphasizes to the supervisors and site/project managers that they are responsible to resolve safety risks.
• Top management encourages root cause analysis (not only remove unsafe conditions, but need to have deeper thoughts into the root causes of the unsafe conditions).

2)Sustainable Solutions:

• To Provide a ONE-TIME solution to solve issues of similar nature, thus saving resources.
• o promotes a better economy where there is little waste and pollution, fewer emissions, more jobs, and a better distribution of wealth overall.

3)Expand’s Efficiency & Effectiveness:

• Aim to Improves the efficiency in implementation and enforcement of safety measures.
• Aim to Encourages individual accountability and conduct.
• Aim to Improves the effectiveness of the impact of outcomes on the project and individual performances.
